Gardening Services in Oldbury, Sandwell and Birmingham

A garden can get away from you surprisingly fast. One busy month and the lawn is knee-high, the hedges are blocking the path and the borders are more weed than flower. Before long, the space that's meant to be your place to relax becomes another job on the list that never gets done.

4 Corners Cleaning Services Ltd provides gardening services across Sandwell, Dudley and Birmingham from our base on Wallace Road in Oldbury. From regular lawn mowing and hedge trimming to clearing gardens that haven't been touched for years, we take the work off your hands. We also take the garden waste away, so you're not left with bags piled up by the bins.

Getting Your Garden Sorted Takes Three Simple Steps

You don't need to know exactly what your garden needs. Show us what you've got and we'll recommend the right level of care.

  1. Send us a few photos. Snap the lawn, borders and hedges and send them with your postcode through our quote form, by email or on WhatsApp.
  2. Get a clear price. We'll recommend a package or one-off service and tell you exactly what's included and what it costs before anything is booked.
  3. We get to work. We arrive with our own tools, do the work, take the green waste away (on Silver and Gold) and leave your garden tidy.

Gardeners Near Me: Why Local Homeowners Trust Us With Their Garden

Searching for gardeners near me usually turns up a long list of names and not much to tell them apart. Here's what you can expect when you choose us.

A Local Gardener Who Comes Back When You Need Them

Gardens don't wait. When the grass takes off in May or the hedges shoot up in June, you need a gardener who can actually get to you. Being based in Oldbury means our regular customers across Sandwell, Dudley and west Birmingham aren't at the far end of a long round.

Clear Packages, So You Know What You're Paying For

Our Bronze, Silver and Gold packages set out exactly what's included on each visit, from mowing and weeding to edging, lawn treatment and shrub pruning. There's no guessing what a gardener will or won't do once they arrive, and no surprise extras on the invoice.

One Company for Your Garden and the Rest of the Outside

Because we also jet wash patios and driveways and clean windows and gutters, one visit can sort the whole outside of your home. That's one team, one point of contact and one booking for everything.

What Do Our Gardening Services Include?

Our gardening services cover the routine jobs that keep a garden under control and the bigger one-off jobs that bring a neglected garden back to life.

Garden Maintenance and Garden Maintenance Services

Garden maintenance is about little and often. Regular visits keep the lawn cut, the hedges in shape and the weeds out of the borders, so the garden never gets the chance to run wild. Our garden maintenance services are built around three packages, so you can choose the level of care that matches your garden and budget.

Lawn Mowing Service and Lawn Care

Our lawn mowing service is part of every package, and we clear the clippings so the lawn looks neat once we've gone. Good lawn care goes beyond cutting, though. Mowing at the right height for the time of year helps the grass grow thicker and makes it harder for moss and weeds to take hold.

Lawn Edging and Lawn Treatment

Lawn edging gives the clean, crisp line between grass and borders that makes a garden look professionally cared for. It's included in our Gold package along with lawn treatment, which feeds the grass and helps it grow greener and thicker while pushing back weeds and moss.

Hedge Trimming and Hedge Cutting

Hedge trimming and hedge cutting keep boundaries tidy, paths clear and neighbours happy. They're included from our Bronze package. Gold customers also get hedge shaping, for formal hedges that need clean, straight lines. Between March and August, hedges are checked for active nests before any cutting starts.

Shrub Pruning and Small Tree Pruning

Shrub pruning keeps plants healthy, encourages better flowering and stops them crowding out the rest of the garden. It's included from our Silver package. Our Gold package also covers small tree pruning, such as fruit trees and ornamental trees, so they stay a manageable size. Larger trees need a qualified tree surgeon.

Weeding Service, Border Maintenance and Flower Bed Maintenance

Weeds come back fast between April and September. Our weeding service is part of every package, and the Silver package adds border maintenance and flower bed maintenance, including tidying, deadheading and cutting back, so planted areas stay neat and healthy.

Leaf Clearance

Autumn leaves smother lawns, block drains and make paths slippery. Leaf clearance is included in our Bronze package and is a good reason to book a visit in October and November, before the leaves turn into a wet mat that kills the grass underneath.

Garden Clearance and Overgrown Garden Clearance

Garden clearance is for gardens that have got completely out of hand: long grass, brambles, overgrown hedges and years of rubbish. Overgrown garden clearance is popular with landlords between tenants, people who've just moved into a neglected property and anyone getting a house ready to sell. We cut everything back, clear the waste and leave you with a blank canvas you can actually use.

Garden Waste Removal and Green Waste Collection

Garden waste removal is included in our Silver package, so you're not filling your green bin for weeks after a visit. Green waste collection is also available after a one-off clearance or tidy. Any business that takes waste away from your property must be registered as a waste carrier with the Environment Agency.

One Off Garden Tidy, Turf Laying and Garden Makeover

A one off garden tidy up gets a garden back in shape before a party, a house viewing or the start of summer. If your lawn is beyond saving, turf laying gives you a new lawn straight away. We prepare the ground, lay the turf and tell you how to water it while it settles.

Regular Garden Maintenance and Seasonal Garden Maintenance

Regular garden maintenance means booking us at set intervals through the growing season, so your garden stays under control without you having to think about it. Seasonal garden maintenance follows the year: first cuts and border preparation in spring, regular mowing and hedge trimming in summer, leaf clearance and cutting back in autumn, and pruning and tidying in winter. Our Silver package includes seasonal planting advice, so you know what to plant and when.

Landscape Maintenance for Landlords and Businesses

Landscape maintenance keeps the grounds around offices, shops, blocks of flats and rental properties tidy all year. Landlords, managing agents and businesses can book regular visits, and we can combine them with window cleaning and jet washing, so the whole outside of the property is looked after by one team.

Gardening FAQs: Your Questions Answered

What does a garden maintenance visit include?

Our Bronze visit covers lawn mowing, weeding, hedge trimming, leaf clearing and a general tidy. Silver adds border and flower bed care, shrub trimming and green waste removal. Gold adds lawn edging and treatment, hedge shaping, patio washing and small tree pruning, plus priority booking.

How much does it cost to clear an overgrown garden?

It depends on the size of the garden, how overgrown it is and how much waste needs removing. A small, lightly overgrown garden costs far less than a large plot full of brambles. Send us a few photos and we'll give you a fixed price for the clearance.

Do you take away the garden waste?

Yes. Green waste removal is included in our Silver package and is available with one-off garden clearances and tidies. We load and take away grass cuttings, hedge trimmings and other green waste, so you're not left with a pile of bags to deal with after we leave.

How often should hedges be trimmed?

Most garden hedges need trimming once or twice a year, usually in late spring and late summer. Fast-growing hedges such as privet and leylandii may need cutting two or three times a year to stay tidy and stop them taking over paths and neighbouring gardens.

Does a gardener need a waste carrier licence?

In England, any business that takes waste away from a customer's property must be registered as a waste carrier with the Environment Agency. You can check a company's registration on the public register online. Using an unregistered carrier risks your waste being fly-tipped, which you could be held responsible for.

Can I cut my hedge during bird nesting season?

You can trim a hedge, but it's against the law to damage or destroy an active bird's nest. The main nesting season runs from March to August, so hedges should be checked carefully before cutting. If an active nest is found, that section should be left until the birds have fledged.

How often should I have my lawn mowed?

Every one to two weeks in spring and summer, when grass grows fastest. In autumn, every three to four weeks is usually enough, and in winter the lawn rarely needs cutting at all. Regular mowing at the right height keeps the lawn thicker and helps crowd out weeds.

Do I need to be home for the gardener?

No. As long as we can get into the garden safely, you can carry on with your day. Let us know about gates, side access, pets and any parking restrictions when you book, and we'll message you once we've finished so you know the work is done.

Can you lay new turf?

Yes. Turf laying is one of our one-off garden services. We remove the old lawn or weeds, prepare and level the ground, lay the new turf and give you clear advice on watering it while it roots. It's the quickest way to get a green, usable lawn.

What is the best time of year to tidy a garden?

Early spring, around March and April, is the best time to prepare for the growing season. Autumn is the other key moment, for clearing leaves, cutting back perennials and tidying borders before winter. Regular maintenance in between keeps the garden from getting out of hand.

Do you offer regular garden maintenance plans?

Yes. You can book our Bronze, Silver or Gold package as a regular garden maintenance plan through the year. Regular visits are the most cost-effective way to keep a garden looking good, because small jobs never get the chance to turn into big ones.
